10. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Both Richard Reid and Mike Beeton have been involved in several Planning for Real exercises in the past and have carried out a number of planning design workshops as part of on-going projects such as the study for the regeneration of Kleinzschocker, Leipzig, their work on the 40 acre Environmental Improvement Area in St. Helier, Jersey and various design workshops for the Lower Mill Estate project. The last two projects included an Environmental Education input based on our “Front Door” programme, the entrance being the key to everything – the way in, the way through and the way out, whether in a large house or a small town. The workshops were carried out in collaboration with Tamasin Reid and Charlotte Reid.
